- five sensory balls of various textures

- a blindfold

- a bag

What is the difference between this game and a traditional memory game?

The players, without using their sense of sight, try to match the ball with the disc of the same texture.

What are advantages of the Sensory Memory Game?

- The transfer of sensations from feet to hands increases concentration, attention and affects the development of a child’s small motor skills, intelligence and memory.

- The fact that it is easy to change the level of difficulty of the game makes it possible to adapt the game to the needs and age of the child and enjoy playing.

- The game involves and develops the sense of touch, has a positive effect on the development of a child’s small motor skills, concentration and attention.

- Various disc and ball structures can help with desensitization of your child’s feet or hands.

- Thanks to walking on the discs, your child develops balance, motor coordination, spatial planning. At the same time, a child's muscular tension is normalized, which can have a positive influence on improving the posture and getting rid of foot defects, such as valgus or flat foot.

- This game is perfect for making group and therapeutic activities with children more attractive.

- The discs are perfect for creating various types of obstacle courses and health paths.

The balls may be used for body massage.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME AND THE LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:

Remember that when you cover your child's eyes, another player should secure him/her! Place the discs on the floor one by one and put the balls in the bag. While looking at the discs, search for a ball in the bag of the same texture as the disc. Place the ball next to the disc and match the other balls to the discs in the same way. Place the discs on the floor one by one and put the balls in the bag. Stand in front of the first disc and put a blindfold over the eyes. Put the foot on the disc and put the hand in the bag with balls. Among five different balls, find one that has the same texture as the disc. Try this method to match more discs with balls of the same textures. A junior player may do this activity without covering his/her eyes. Draw the ball out of the bag and find the same texture on the disc using your foot. Junior players may do this activity with their eyes open and older children may wear a blindfold. Sit down on the floor and cover your eyes. Take one of the balls in your hand and try to find a disc of the same texture with other hand. Junior players may do this activity with their eyes open. Place the discs on the floor one with the other and put the balls in the bag. Look carefully at the order that the discs are placed and remember the sequence. Put a blindfold over your eyes, look for a ball in the bag of the same texture as the first disc. Then, find a ball of the same texture as the second disc, third, fourth and fifth. Take off your blindfold and make sure that you remember the order well. The same actions are repeated by all players. The winner is the one who matches the ball and disc of the same textures within the shortest period of time. Place 5 discs in a row. Put a blindfold over your eyes and walk around the discs, holding another player's hand. Remember the particular textures of the discs, and then place the balls in the same order. You can also use discs and balls to describe the textures you feel. Ask your child to describe what texture can be felt under his/her foot or in his/her hand, e.g. a spiky, striated one.
